We help you plan and prepare for your trip, but it’s up to you to negotiate your way to our meeting point in Karakol.* A 40 Tribes guide will greet you there to brief you on current ski conditions and avalanche danger, getting to the village and up to the yurt, and finding the terrain you’ve come to ski.
From there, you’ll enjoy a stay that’s catered to your liking. You can choose to stay in the village and at the yurt for as many days as you’d like, and you’ll have the option of helping our local partners as much or as little as you’d like in preparing traditional meals, splitting firewood, melting drinking water, and handling other yurt “chores.”
Groups seeking even greater self-sufficiency may request a private group reservation, in which case you would be responsible for supplying all of your own food (easily acquired in local bazaars/markets), cooking, cleaning and managing all chores on your own, without help from our local partners.
*Optional private transport add-on available, see below for details.
